Oregon Health Plan Coverage

Starting July 1st 2023, individuals of all ages and immigration statuses will be eligible for complete Oregon Health Plan benefits as part of the Healthier Oregon program. This is an expansion of the Healthier Oregon program, which was established last year, that provided Medicaid-type services to immigrants who did not qualify for the Oregon Health Plan due to their immigration status. While Healthier Oregon covered only those between 19-24 and 55 and older who met the necessary low-income and other requirements, the expanded program offers free health insurance to all eligible oregon residents.

OHP Veterans Dental Program

The Oregon Veteran Dental Program covers the same basic dental care that the state provides to Medicaid recipients through the Oregon Health Plan. Annual teeth cleanings, fillings, extractions, some dentures and emergency care are among the services available for free under the state’s Veteran Dental Plan.
