2025 Active Rx Program

One Community Health is excited to share information about the Active Rx Program for 2025, made possible through grant funding from the Columbia Gorge Health Council. These funds ensure that everyone has access to the Hood River Parks + Rec pool and North Wasco County Parks and Rec Pool and the Learn to Swim Program.

Hood River Parks + Rec

Hood River Parks + Rec has received grant funding through Columbia Gorge Health Council for the Active Rx Program for 2025. These funds will ensure that all people have access to the pool and the Learn to Swim Program.

If you receive any type of social service benefit (like, but not limited to SNAP, WIC, Foster Care Providers, Oregon Health Plan, Free and Reduced Lunch Program, and Senior Services), then you are eligible to participate in the Active Rx Program and swim or take swim lessons for free.

Each person who qualifies can receive two of the following services (a combination is allowed):

  • 10 Punch Pass

    • These do not expire and can be used for any of Hood River Parks + Rec's general admission programming.

  • Swim Lessons

    • A set of 4 lessons, each 30 minutes long, totaling 2 hours of class time.

  • Summer Family Pass

    • Good from the last day of school through Labor Day. Families can sign up for this pass starting mid-May, and quantities are limited.

How do I get started?

Stop by the Hood River Parks and Rec’s front desk and ask to participate. If you have a family of five and qualify, each person in your family is eligible to receive two of these services.  hoodriverparksandrec.org | 541.386.1303
