Overdose Awareness Walk

On August 31, we invite you to join us for the Overdose Awareness Walk, a community event aimed at raising awareness about overdose prevention. This event brings together individuals, families, and organizations to honor those who have lost their lives to overdose and to support those who are struggling with addiction.

The walk will start at Burger King (1416 W 6th St, The Dalles) at 1 PM. It will be a meaningful and impactful experience as we come together to remember loved ones, raise awareness, and advocate for change. By participating in this walk, you will be showing your support for those affected by addiction and helping to reduce the stigma surrounding this issue.

After the walk, we invite everyone to join us at One Community Health's New Express Clinic located at 1010 Webber St. This will be an opportunity to continue the conversation and learn more about the available resources and services in our community. At the clinic, you will have the chance to connect with professionals, gather information, and discover support groups that can provide assistance to individuals and families affected by addiction.

When: August 31, 2023 | 1-3 pm

Where: Walk begins at Burger King (1416 W 6th St, The Dalles) then to police station (Court & 3rd St) and back

We encourage you to wear purple. Signs and memorials are welcome.

One Community Health offers a wide range of services, including counseling, addiction treatment, and support groups. By attending this event, you will have the chance to learn more about these services and how they can benefit you or someone you know who is struggling with addiction.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by addiction and work towards creating a community that is supportive, understanding, and equipped with the resources needed to combat this crisis.
